Inspiring Postive Change! We hope the new year of 2008 is off to a good beginning at your school! In case you haven't heard, we are VERY excited about the newest addition to our curriculum offerings...REALITY CHECK! Reality Check is a new, hip and engaging set of booklets designed for the middle-level and high school students. The contemporary design was created to attract today’s students. The booklet format allows for flexibility and convenience. There are nine (9) booklets in the Reality Check series; each one is designed to be taught over one month's time. Each booklet contains twenty lessons spread over a 4-week period. Each week focuses on a different Kolb learning style - think, talk, act, do. Creative and engaging learning activities include higher order thinking skills and a variety of contexts such as individual reflection and cooperative grouping. The first nine booklets in the series are:
The new Reality Check series allows for greater focus and depth of understanding and integration. By teaching only nine positive character per year, more time can be spent on each trait. We've already begun writing another set of nine booklets and when we're finished, the Reality Check series will have a total of 27 booklets. You will be able to pick the nine you want that best meet your needs and create the emphasis that will best transform the culture and climate of your school. Like all of our Changing Lives products, the Reality Check lessons are teacher-friendly... minimal preparation time for teachers yet creating maximum engagement and learning by students. |
